Custom designed, decorative hand painted tiles for fireplace, hearth, floor and paintings on floor tiles from tile artist Julia Sweda. The examples shown below were developed with choices, input and suggestions from the client to create decorative tile paintings and accent tiles that have been customized just for them and their home or business décor, decorating and remodeling. Porcelain or ceramic hand painted tiles can also be used for a tile wall mural, bathroom mural, floor accent tiles in larger installations as well as fireplace, hearth surround or footer, sauna and wet bar.

  Each floor, hearth or fireplace tile is hand painted and kiln fired as many times as needed to bring out all the details necessary to complete the painting. After the tiles are fired to completion, the paint is permanently adhered and will not rub off, wash off or fade. Floor tile paintings can be matched to any colored tiles, ropes, fabric, wallpaper or color combinations that will be incorporated into the design of the room or location. It may be necessary to send examples of fabric, wallpaper, paint chips, countertop, etc, to help with the coordination. Some tiles that Julia is not familiar with may need to be test fired to make sure they come through firing intact, uncontaminated and are compatible with the paint to be used on them. All test firings/samples will be an additional cost.

  Pricing varies with design complexity and detail so it is not possible to give firm pricing on this site for a custom design. There are some prices listed for similar style decorative floor tile paintings that can be done for you. Please contact Julia for a price quote. The cost of the tile itself, any test firings/samples and shipping/handling are not included in the price of the paintings shown.  Insured shipping and handling averages $12 to $15 dollars per square foot for UPS ground delivery. Tiles could be provided directly by the customer or it can be arranged to obtain tiles through a local supplier in the Tucson area.
